A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our High School Boys and Girls Track teams for winning the State Championship's this past weekend. Whooooo!!!!!
Our track athletes completely dominated the competition in true Warrior Spirit!
The Boys Team brought home 7 Bronze Medals, 10 Silver Medals, and 4 Gold Medals, and the CAA Athlete of the year for the Boys was your very own Jorge Sosa for his accomplishments in the 4x800m relay, 800, 1600, and 3200m runs. Wooohoo...way to go Jorge!
The Girls Team brought home 5 Bronze Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 19 Gold medals. WOW!!!
Let's give a special shout out to 6 girls who broke state records in their events. 8th grader, Mahogany Hicks broke the High School High Jump state record by 2 inches! Jerni Theabold, Miracle Brown-Jeter, Bailee Shriver and Kamaria Sands broke the 4x100 meter Relay record by 2 full seconds! Noelle Jensen broke the state record in the Long Jump by 6 inches and crushed the Triple Jump state record by almost 4 feet! Noelle also won the CAA Athlete of the Year for Girls for her accomplishments. Congratulations!
