Senior Cooper Martinez helped lead the Warriors to a 3-1 week defeating Globe, Florence and Payson. He had a batting average of .384 with 6 RBI's. Highlight of the week was Cooper's grand slam home run against Payson. #GoWarriors

Junior Hannah Pushckor had herself a great week. She hit a record 17 kills against Coolidge and added 9 more against Gilbert Christian last week. She served 4 aces and totaled 9 blocks in those two games. Great job Hannah! #GoLadyWarriors #SwordsUP

Senior Maleah Tucker won shot put and discuss at the 8th annual Joe Brady Memorial Marana Invitational. She broke the school record in discus with a throw of 126'7". We're very proud of you, Maleah! 

Did you know!? Maleah is a three sport athlete. She's lettered in Volleyball, Basketball and Track.

Junior, Shawnacy Serrano threw a no hitter against Coolidge in 16-0 win, she also had 2 doubles, 4 rbi and 3 run scored in that game offensively helping the Warriors advance to championship game in the West Valley Tournament. Shawny continued her hot streak on offense finishing the week out  9/12, .750avg, 1 BB, 2 Doubles, 2 Homeruns, 11 RBi, 3 steals and 7 runs scored.

Junior - Guard, Jackson Chapman averaged 15.3 points, 5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three games last week. Chapman has really stepped up his defensive game for the Warriors. He's played an integral role in the team's success this season and is a big reason why the Warriors are currently ranked #7 in the 3A Conference. Keep working hard, Chap! #TheWarriorWay #GoWarriors

Senior, Ella Verdine pitched 20.2 innings last week. Over the three game span, Ella held opponents to a .258 batting average while striking out 32 batters. Verdine finished the week with a 2.6 ERA and currently has 47 strikeouts on the season. Keep up the great work, Ella! #LadyWarriorSoftball

Warrior Athlete of the Week

On senior night, Travis, pinned both of his opponents in the first period. Then to top off the week, Travis took 3rd place at the Page Sand Devil Classic. In his performance in the tournament, Travis defeated the first, second and third seeds at his weight. Travis avenged his only loss of the week by defeating his opponent from Canyon View (UT) in the third place match who had beaten him earlier in the tournament. Great job Travis!

Junior - Captain, Caydence Cline held San Tan Foothills to two goals and three saves in the win. She was a constant voice on the pitch, directing the defense. Caydence continues to carry a two goal average against opponents. Caydence leads the state in saves and is a true leader on and off the pitch. Way to go, Caydence!

Senior guard Tony Willis helped lead the Warriors to two road wins last week beating ALA West Foothills and Payson. The senior guard averaged 24 points, 5.5 assists and 3 steals on the week. Tony had a career high of 26 points at ALA West Foothills. The senior guard is off to a great start this season and has helped lead the Warriors to a 5-1 record. Keep going, Tony!

Soph WR/DB Marques Dorsey had a career game in the Warriors win over Coolidge (28-20). Marques had 4 catches for 39 yards on offense. On defense, Marques had 10 tackles with 3 interceptions including a 70 yard pick six with one minute left in the 4th quarter. Then followed that INT with a game sealing interception with 4 seconds left. Way to go Marques! #GoWarriors

Jaxon ran a solid PR of 18:15 on the challenging state championship course. He's been the team's most consistent performer all season, and his hard work really shined at the state championship. We're excited to see how he continues to progress next season. Way to go Jaxon!

Junior Kami Maloy played in a total of 27 sets last week between region games and tournament play. She totaled in 10 aces, 140 serve receive passes, and 115 digs. Kami was named to the all tournament team at the Florence Invitational. She's an absolute beast on the court. Keep it up Kami!! #GoLadyWarriors #SwordsUP

Warrior Athlete of the Week

Junior Aidan McBride placed 2nd individually at Valley Christian's Erin Botma Invite, leading the boy's team to a top five finish out of 23 competing schools. On Saturday (9/24), he ran a HUGE personal record of 16:53 to place 3rd out of 136 boys and led the boy's team to an eighth place finish out of 26 competing schools.
