Biography:
Coach Bowen has been involved with softball for over 20 years. Played for 14 years, and have been heavily engaged with competitive and school softball for 7 years. Have had the pleasure to learn many coaching techniques from top notch coaches who are highly rated in Colorado and Arizona. Through working with highly regarded private hitting and catching coaches for the past 6 years, I have been able to hone in on skills needed to effectively spot technique concerns and work to develop athletes into better players with increased skills.
Coach Bowen was an assistant coach for competitive softball and the head coach of the ALA JV Softball Team in 2019 where I worked to develop the student athletes knowledge of the game and skills needed resulting in a winning season with only 2 losses. I have been score keeping for 7 years and part of this is working with pitching coaches to help provide game time feedback on pitches called to help develop strategy.
My love of the game is what keeps me going. Working with athletes and seeing that skill develop and see them grow is why I love coaching. I love teaching the game and also learning from coaches along the way. I am always in learning mode. For me, I am not about wins and losses, I strive for improvement game over game.

James Henderson.
Assistant Softball Coach
Biography:
Coach James has been involved in softball and baseball for 20 years. He played baseball in his youth and has coached baseball and softball in the Queen Creek/ San Tan Valley area for the last 8 years. James has worked on the player, coaching, and the umpiring side of softball so he brings knowledge from all different areas of softball.
James has worked with highly rated hitting and catching coaches for the last five years. He has been able to use those skills to develop young hitters and help older girls develop a strong swing and become top hitters on their teams. I truly enjoy watching girls grow as hitters. When players see the potential they have as hitters, and show up for their teams with doubles, triples, and home runs it's great pride for the player!
Due to Coach James experience umpiring and working with other umpires he uses this knowledge to teach defense techniques to players that are effective and show well on the field.
I love seeing players work together on the field when it comes to defense. Developing a defensive player who can think quickly on the field makes a key player! When you see players turning double plays, catchers picking off runners on their own you realize these skills will carry with these players for a long time!
