Head Coach

Biography:

Tod Workman enters his first year as a Spanish teacher and head wrestling coach for American Leadership Academy-Ironwood. He is also assists with ALA's football and track programs.

Tod comes to ALA as a Cum Laude graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Spanish Teaching Licensure from Southern Virginia University. Prior to Southern Virginia Tod attended and ran track at Paradise Valley Community College.

Tod was a member of the Southern Virginia football team and finished his career ranking top ten in yards per rush, most rushing touchdowns, and most rushing touchdowns in a single season. A true scholar-athlete, he was named to the USCAA Academic All-American team and the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. During undergrad Tod was a volunteer wrestling coach at Parry McCluer High School and Southern Virginia University.

Tod a native of Queen Creek, Arizona, graduated from Queen Creek high school in 2008 with high academic and athletic honors as he was on the varsity football, wrestling and track teams. He received the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award, the National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award and was named ACA football and wrestling All-American as well as the Arizona Everyday Heroes Award. Tod was a four-time region champion, placed second at state as a freshman and finished third as a sophomore and junior. Tod was the 145 lb. state champion his senior year. Following graduation he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Houston, Texas.

Tod resides in Florence with his wife Laura.
