On Saturday (11/19) our junior high wrestling team hosted the CAA Warrior Turkey Takedown wrestling tournament. Nick Grandarilla (84 lb), Rafael “Papo” Rodriguez (136 lb), and Brayden Mendoza (265 lb) all went undefeated on the day and placed first in their respective weight classes. Axander Rieboldt (144 lb), Makai Tucker (160 lb), and Slade Wheaton (210 lb) took third place. Several other Warriors contributed in scoring team points and helping the team bring home a second-place finish out of the sixteen-team field. Next Saturday the Warriors will attend the CAA Maricopa Thanksgiving Classic at Heritage Acadamy Maricopa in the final invitational of the season prior to the CAA State Championships in December.
