Varsity Boys Basketball will be participating in the Shoot the Rock AZ tour hosted by @monarchsportsaz . We host Foothill High School out of Henderson, Nevada on Friday, Dec 13th. Tip off is 6pm. Junior soccer standout Emma Gonzales kicked off the winter season with an exceptional performance that earned her Battle of Ironwood All Tournament Player honors. The prestigious recognition, awarded by referees and opposing coaches, highlights Gonzales's impact both on and off the field. As one of the varsity team's captains, Gonzales demonstrates leadership qualities that extend beyond her athletic abilities. Her positive attitude and team-first mentality have made her an invaluable presence for her squad. When opposing coaches and officials recognize a player's performance, it shows they're doing things the right way. Her teammates benefit from her supportive nature and encouraging presence, qualities that helped earn her the captain's armband as a junior, a role typically reserved for senior players. Gonzales leads by example, demonstrating the perfect balance of competitive drive and sportsmanship.

Warrior Football would like to recognize Coach Borden as the “Football Teacher of the Week”. When asked about Coach Borden; our players proudly stated: “Coach Borden is an amazing teacher; she always has pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves; both as athletes and students. She helps us achieve our goals in the weight room, on the field, and in our other sports. She educates us on how to keep our bodies strong throughout our seasons”. We all greatly appreciate what Coach Borden has done for us and are grateful she is our weights coach.
