Location: ALA Gilbert North (1070 S. Higley Rd., Gilbert)

Meet time: 5:00pm - Do NOT arrive before 4pm due to school's dismissal

ADMISSION: $5 per adult, $2 per child - CASH ONLY

*NO PETS allowed on premises*

STATE FINALS - Saturday, May 12th

Location: Sun Angel Stadium (400 S. Rural Rd., Tempe)

Spectator entrance located at the north end of the track (near Packard Stadium)

Meet times: Jr. High - 8:30am, High School - 4:00pm

ADMISSION: $10 per adult, $5 per child (PER SESSION - Jr. High & High School)

**Re-admission will NOT be allowed during either session**

**ASU follows a clear bag policy - all spectators MUST adhere to this policy**

**Canopies and coolers are allowed on the premises but will be searched by security at entrance**

CAA High School Regional Champs!

***Congratulations to our Warrior Cross Country Team for winning both the Boys and Girls Regionals Championships this weekend!

A special congratulations to Jorge Sosa for winning the Gold Medal in the boys race and crushing his own school record by almost 2 minutes, with a time of 16 minutes 19 seconds! Rounding out the top 10 were Caden Edgeton who took 8th and Andrew Mayo who took 9th, both beating their best times.

And a special congratulations to Kenedee Theabold for winning the Silver Medal and breaking her own school record by almost 3 minutes, with a time of 19 minutes 57 second. Rounding out the top 10 were Teagen Fears who took 3rd, Arlene Sosa - 4th, and Autumn Moe - 10th, each young lady setting a lifetime personal best! They will be competing for the State Title in two weeks in Goodyear. Way to go Warrior runners!

10/20 Game Location

Warrior Football Fans -

The Varsity game against Imagine Superstition on Friday, October 20th will be played at Highland JUNIOR High School, NOT Highland High School as was previously scheduled. The address for Highland JUNIOR High School is 6915 E. Guadalupe Rd., Gilbert. Game time remains 7pm.

Cross Country News

Elite Race This Friday

There were no set races for this week when we made the schedule, but I was able to get our top runners into a race outside of the CAA. The Desert Twilight Race will be our first ever race outside of the CAA Conference. As many of you have heard, our High School teams will likely be moving to the AIA division next year, so as part of the transition we would like to have them get a taste of that level of athletes. There was a qualifying standard to be entered in the race. Congratulations to JH: Brock and Corbin Hyman, Gage and Chase Theabold, Braden Hansen, Dante Briseno-Garcia, and Teagan Fears for meeting the Junior High Qualifying standard. Congratulations to Jorge Sosa, Andrew Mayo, Caden Edgerton, Giovanni Castellanos, Angel Bautista, Michael Adair, Kenedee Theabold and McKenzie Fears for qualifying for the High School Race. We will leave campus at 2:45 on Friday. The JH race will be at 5:00pm and the HS race is at 8:00pm. Run-A-Thon

Reminder that the Run-A-Thon is about 3 weeks away, Tuesday, October 17th from 4:00-5:00pm at the Ironwood Stadium. Hopefully we all have collected 10 or more pledges by now. I'm working on putting together an online platform that we can share to friends and family who are out of state. I will keep you posted on that.

9/9 Carden Invitational

Congratulations to our Warrior Cross Country teams for a fantastic effort at the Carden Invitational this past weekend. The Junior High Boys team took second place, led by Brock and Corbin Hyman taking 5th
and 6th place respectively. Our High School Boys team brought home the First Place trophy, with Jorge Sosa dominating the last mile of the race and placing First in the individual competition. In the High School Girl's race, Kenedee Theabold took second in an incredibly close race! She also crushed her own school record by almost 3 minutes! Way to go Cross Country!

Participation Fee

Warrior Cross Country Parents -

Hello! Many of you have paid your child's participation fee for Cross Country this year...THANK YOU!!! However, there are still some who have not. The athletic packet states that the athletic fee..."will be required per student, per sport and must be paid PRIOR to the student-athlete participating in any competition." The athletic office has decided to extend that deadline to next Friday, September 15th. ATHLETES WITH UNPAID FEES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE MEETS UNTIL THE FEE IS PAID OR PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE WITH THE ATHLETIC OFFICE.

All fees have been assigned on IC. You are welcome to pay on IC with a credit/debit card OR you can pay with cash or check at the front office or athletic office. You have the option of making a Tax Credit Donation to pay for your child's athletic fees as well. This is a dollar for dollar refund on your 2017 taxes. Families can donate up to $400, individuals can donate up to $200. Forms are available in the front office. Make sure you submit a copy of the form to the athletic office if you go this route.
