ALA Ironwood has strong showing at AIA Open State Championship Track &Field Meet!
We had four student athletes compete in the AIA Open State Championship Track & Field Meet over the weekend held at Mesa Community College. They represented ALA Ironwood in a big way.
Here are the results:
TaHaj Acoff: Took 5th place in shot put with a new school record of 53-2.75 and 7th in discus with a 154-5.
Travis Mbuya: runner-up champion in javelin with a new school record of 180-5.
Maleah Tucker: runner-up champion in shot put with a new school record of 40-11 and 5th place in discus with a 123-11.
Pearson Wiggins (not pictured): tied the high jump school record with a jump of 6-0.
