Congratulations to the ALA-Ironwood Warriors High School Boys and Girls track teams for both taking first place at the CAA Kick Off Classic on Saturday.   The Boy's team had a combined score of 185 point to second place Madison Highland Prep's 101 points, and the Girls team won with 282.5 point to second place Madison Highland Prep's 85.5 points.  

Some highlights of the competition:

5 School Records on the Boys side:  

* Isaiah Jackson broke both the 100m and 200m school records by almost half a second.  

*Jorge Sosa broke the 1600m school record by 3 seconds and is just 2 seconds off the state record.  He also broke his own 3200m school record by 19 seconds.

* The 4x100 Relay team of Jon Wealing, Ethan Lawlor, Kelton Gibbens and Isaiah Jackson broke the school record by 2.5 seconds.

3 School Records on the Girl's side:

*Teagan Fears broke the 3200m school record by almost 5 minutes.<- Whao!

*Alycia Chavez broke her own school record in the shot put over a foot.

*The 4x800 Relay team of Brianna Connor, McKenzie Fears, Teagan Fears and Kenedee Theabold crushed the old record by 35 seconds.
